Postmen

so what's with postmen and post offices?

aren't they supposed to deliver mail, be they common mail or registered?

so why do they leave you a note to say they tried to deliver but we were not in - and then insist we have to collect it from the post office! why can't they try again a second time and a third time before inconveniencing us to drive all the way to the post office which is 5 km away, find a parking space, and then wait 20 minutes to collect an envelope?

and to top it, the post office does not open on public holidays. so we have to collect the 'package' on a working day. Just as well I don't have to clock into office with the punch card system, otherwise I would have had to take a day off, just to pick up this elusive envelope.

Pos Malaysia should adopt the "if you don't deliver the first time, try again until you succeed".
